Temporary Services

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice. You will need to register as a temporary patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to 3 months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP.

To register as a temporary patient please speak to a member of our reception team. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.

See further information on Temporary Registration

Your Named GP

Every patient registered at the practice has a named GP who is responsible for the patient's overall care. However, this does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do.

At the time of registration you will be / will have been allocated a GP.

If you are already registered with the practice you will already have a named GP. Should you wish to be informed or reminded of your named GP please do not hesitate to contact us. If you wish to change to another GP please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate your preference.
