What is Accurx?

Accurx enables NHS based GP practices to offer online consultations to their patients. This allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their own GP electronically, and offers around the clock NHS self-help information, signposting to services, and a symptom checker.

• Ask advice about a medical issue. You will be asked for further details, and can submit photos if they would be helpful
• Request help with an administrative matter eg request a fit note or for information about a referral

You just need to fill out a quick form, and the practice responds with advice or a request for you to book an appointment. This option will be available from 8:30am to 4:30pm each day. It is not designed for medically urgent issues, in this case you should always phone reception.

Using this service you can also access self-help content, alternative options available to you, e.g. pharmacy, symptom checkers, or 111. The requests are treated the same as other ways of seeking help, and you may be advised to book a routine appointment in the normal way.
